Updates
March 2025: I have received a few requests for customised prints so I've added this as an option. Please leave a note at checkout with your callsign if you choose this.
February 2025: I'm now offering PETG printed cases. These are more resistant than PLA to higher temperatures and UV, ideal if these will see peak summer outdoor use (most likely outside the UK 🌦️).
❤️TP-III
Protect your precious TP-III paddle with a (plant based) PLA (or PETG) printed case powered by no less than eight embedded magnets. This is my own custom design and print.
These are printed to order but I aim to post these the day after order.
If you don't yet have a TP-III then check out Markus' selection of keys at BaMaTech. Keep an eye out for the annual Sonderedition (Special Edition), they always prove very popular.
PLA or PETG?
PLA:
- Light with high impact strength and durability
- Lots of colour options
PETG:
- Excellent UV resistance and temperature resistance for outdoor use
- Heavier than PLA
Construction
The TP-III is attached to the base by an enclosed pair of steel washers - this was an update following a message from Markus at BaMaTeCh confirming that the magnets in the key are not guarenteed to be polarised in the same way. This update ensures compatibility for all TP-III's out there.
The base and case each include four encased (oppositely polarised) neodymium magnets for a solid connection.
Please ask if there is a specific colour (or different base/case colours) you'd like.
Customisation
If you'd like customisation then please reply to the confirmation email with your callsign.
Please note
- The BaMaTech BaMaKeY TP-III (or any other item other than the case) is not included in this listing. This is for the two-part case only.
- I'm not in any way associated with Markus or BaMaTech. Just a fan of the key who likes 3D printing (and magnets!).
